fa9eb814 cmLocalGenerator: Remove redundant path access.
1933f3d1 cmLocalGenerator: Remove redundant path conversions.
9e4b6cc2 cmState: Store computed relative paths to to current directories.
991f5e49 cmState::Snapshot: Store components for current directories.
57bdc1a2 cmState: Compute and store directory components.
There is no need to duplicate these in all cmLocalGenerators.
Rename the symbols according to current conventions.
Add explicit calls to Set{Source,Binary}Directory with empty strings
in order to trigger the population of the components containers with
the current working directory in cmLocalGenerator. Having
directories set to empty is a special case in CMake, which is relied
on for the `if(CMAKE_BINARY_DIR)` condition at the end of
CMakeDetermineSystem.cmake.
Because ctest reads in binary but writes in text mode, Windows' newline
transformation can be applied multiple times causing '\n' in the source
application to be written out as '\r\r\n' instead.
Use the clang RemoveCStrCalls tool to automatically migrate the
code. This was only run on linux, so does not have any positive or
negative effect on other platforms.
Casts from std::string -> cmStdString were high on the list of things
taking up time. Avoid such implicit casts across function calls by just
using std::string everywhere.
The comment that the symbol name is too long is no longer relevant since
modern debuggers alias the templates anyways and the size is a
non-issue since the underlying methods are generated since it's
inherited.
My last related commit e5e3f3d4 (CTest: filter /showIncludes output from
ninja compile launcher, 2013-12-01) filtered /showIncludes messages from
the generated xml output but they also need to be filtered in
ScrapeLog(). Otherwise they are being detected as warnings when using
compilers withs english diagnostics.
This converts the CMake license to a pure 3-clause OSI-approved BSD
License. We drop the previous license clause requiring modified
versions to be plainly marked. We also update the CMake copyright to
cover the full development time range.
cmCTestLaunch first used an empty initializer list to zero-initialize a
buffer, but this is not supported on older compilers. Instead we avoid
the need for initialization altogether.
This creates an undocumented 'ctest --launch' mode. It launches a
specified command and optionally records a failure in an xml fragment.
We will optionally use this in CTest's Build stage to record per-rule
build failure information when using Makefile generators.
